CLOUDBREAK

The sun was setting in the west
On that horizon broad
As I sat alone in the wind
Where no-one else has trod
And when the sun appeared
From behind covering cloud
I basked in the knowledge that
I had caught a glimpse of God

The rays fell down from heaven
Glowing golden bright
My eyes rose to meet them
Glorious was the sight
And all man-made things faded away
Beneath the veil obscure
I rested alone with God
Bathed in His wondrous light

With what I’ve got up there!
Yes, Heaven is the main event
